Stolen Vehicle on Adams Street Led to Crash near Jackson StreetINDIO, CA (August 8, 2023) – Late Friday morning, a police chase on Interstate 10 ended in a rollover crash that injured two.The incident happened on July 28th, at around 11:30 a.m., when the deputies tried to pull over a suspected stolen vehicle near the intersection of Fred Waring Drive and Adams Street.According to authorities, when the vehicle failed to stop for police, officials initiated a pursuit. The pursuit ended on Interstate 10, near Jackson Street, when it collided with another vehicle occupied by two people. The impact of the collision caused the stolen vehicle to roll down an embankment.Emergency crews arrive at the site of the collision shortly after. OAKLAND — A 95-year-old man was pushed to the ground and carjacked Monday afternoon in the Dimond district, authorities said.The man suffered abrasions to his head and other parts of his body and was taken to a hospital, authorities said. (KRON) -- A 17-year-old Saratoga girl has been missing for more than a month and this week investigators tracked down her car. Katherine "Katie" Schneider was last seen on July 5 leaving her home and driving a white Honda Accord with tinted windows.On Monday, Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office investigators found Schneider's Honda Accord abandoned on Skyline Boulevard near Castle Rock State Park. "The vehicle was unoccupied," the Sheriff's Office wrote. An Instagram page called "Find Katie Schneider" posted a message writing, "The Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office has successfully located the Honda Accord. However, they are still working to locate Katie. (KRON) -- A freeway shooting in Orinda that left one person dead last month is being investigated, the California Highway Patrol confirmed Monday. At 9:30 p.m. on July 28, the victim showed up at a hospital after being struck by gunfire on Highway 24, east of St. Stephens Drive. Home Depot guard shoots suspected shoplifter in San Carlos A preliminary CHP investigation indicated that the suspect vehicle pulled in behind and then alongside the victim vehicle. Several gunshots were heard, and the driver and front passenger realized the rear passenger had been hit.The injured passenger was taken to the hospital.
